Before Treatment
To get the most out of your experience with us please arrive 10mins prior to your appointment to check in, fill in a consultation sheet and relax. It is helpful to communicate with your therapist before your treatment begins particularly any health concerns. If you are late for your appointment, your treatment time may have to be reduced in consideration of our next client.
Aftercare
This will vary depending on the treatment you have. Allow time to come round after you treatment especially if you are driving. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours, as massage is a detoxifying treatment. Drink plenty of water to assist in the elimination of toxins from the body. Eat a light meal to assist the detoxification and healing process and carry on the relaxation by resting at home. Get plenty of rest. You may feel tired after treatment
The Healing Crisis.
The body naturally cleanses itself, every day, to eliminate the internal wastes and environmental toxins that have accumulated. Sometimes after a treatment,especially massage or holistic treatment more toxins are eliminated and this can cause a number of symptoms. However don’t be disenchanted believe it or not it is a good sign! The more treatments you have the body will start to get used to it and feel revitalised. Your body is eliminating waste & the treatment has sped up that whole process.
Drink water, water and more water to help the lymphatic system flush out toxins Avoid caffeine and alcohol as its another distraction for the lymphatic system to work on Eat a light meal so your body doesn’t have to work hard on digesting Avoid alcohol for at least 12 hours. Relax to let your body recover.
